Appalachian PowerNew customers with over a 1,000 kW load may receive an economic development rate that reduces their demand rate charge by 25% each year for the first five years of operation. In Virginia, Appalachian Power has 26,445 miles of distribution and 2,717 miles of transmission line.

BVU Authority – Power is generated by the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) and delivered to customers via a reliable system that includes 10 substations.Qualified economic development projects locating to TVA electricity-served sites may also benefit from program offerings through TVA Economic Development.

Atmos Energy serves customers in western Virginia with 650 miles of distribution pipelines.

Washington County Service AuthorityThe WCSA water system consists of approximately 900 miles of water line, a new 12 MGD surface water treatment plant, a 2.5 MGD membrane filtration plant, two springs, one well, 26 pump stations, and 24 water storage tanks.  Wastewater systems include over 100 miles of wastewater collection lines, 29 lift stations, and two wastewater treatment plants.  WCSA is the third largest water and sewer utility in Southwestern Virginia and has received Virginia’s highest possible ranking in operations and performance excellence for water utilities for 10 consecutive years.
